The site of the multi-storey car park is located at one of the busiest traffic hubs of the cathedral city. Directly on the corner of Nord-Su?d-Fahrt / Cäcilienstrasse the new building presents itself with its striking curved wall following the run of the street in the immediate proximity of the Cologne city centre.

The eight-storey building is an extension of the adjoining Kaufhof department store. Due to the planned extension of the sales area in the old building the parking area with approx. 400 parking spaces had to be accommodated in a new building. Apart from the parking levels the building also houses the office wing of the department store administration and shops on the ground floor.
