6th February 2012 Announcement: Lecture by Johannes Kister during the ABC Architects Day
Next Wednesday, 7th March 2012, Prof. Kister is following the invitation of the ABC-Klinkergruppe (ABC tiles group), giving a talk at the ABC Architects Day. He will focus on the two year long development of ceramic tiles, which now wrap the DLR-RY research building in Bremen similar to the heat shield of a space shuttle.

„Das Neue erwächst aus dem Alten“ – all new things spring from the old – a maxim kister scheithauer gross’ contribution to the expert litigation as part of the redevelopment of the St Franziskus hospital in Cologne-Ehrenfeld proofs, not always has to be understood in purely additive ways: ksg pursue the master plan as some kind of strategy of reversal. They convince the jury and win the 1st price with their design, which turns the existing chapel and the redevelopment of the Specialists Medical Centre into a new feature of the hospital.

30.11.2010 2nd place for research and technology complex, Fraunhofer-Institute
A decision regarding the new development of laboratories, office and technology spaces for the Fraunhofer Institute IKTS, Hermsdorf has been made as part of the VOF-proceedings. The jury has been won over by ksg’s highly efficient design, not at last due to their profound expertise in this field. Similarly convincing is the coherent, sustainable urban planning concept. ksg has been selected as a finalist next to only one other contribution.

In August the first interior spaces of the historically listed University Women's Clinic in Leipzig will be cautiously dismantled. ksg has planned child care spaces for the ground floor of wing A. "The Cologne team succeeded in enriching this sensitive point in the city of Ulm, without losing its unique character" said mayor Alexander Wetzig.
