23rd January 2015 Wintergartenareal Leipzig: 2nd place

The Wintergartenareal office building is situated in a prominent location in the Leipzig city centre and in close vicinity to the main station. Furthermore, it is only a few metres from a high-rise tower block dating from the early 1970s. The adjoining development consists of listed residential and commercial buildings from the Gründerzeit period.

kister scheithauer gross architekten describes the multi-storey car park for RWTH Aachen University as “peculiar with an out of focus depth”. The building does not correspond to conventional associations with the appearance of a car park.

25th September 2014 Cologne: Overall concept for Mülheim-Süd

In an interdisciplinary procedure, ksg architekten together with Bolles+Wilson and kiparlandschaftsarchitekten developed an integrated overall concept for Mülheim’s southern district. This concept was now presented to the public and provides the basis for the further urban development.

11th July 2014 First prize in the ‘Stuttgart Rote Wand’ competition

The object of the urban planning competition was a former car park on the old trade fair grounds in Stuttgart-Killesberg, the ‘Rote Wand’ area. ksg (in collaboration with stern landschaften) was awarded one of two first prizes for juxtaposing two typologies, ‘Minimal Houses’ and ‘Cloud Houses’.

27th June 2014 ksg is a prize-winner in the Schinkelplatz competition

In a prominent location in Berlin-Mitte, the project company Europrojekt GmbH purchased the southern part of the development site on Schinkelplatz with a plot size of 2,685 square metres. In January 2014, the restricted competition with 15 invited architectural firms was decided. ksg is one of the prize-winners.

3rd July 2014 Commendation for ‘Intergeneratives Zentrum’ in Dülmen

In the competition for the ‘Intergeneratives Zentrum (IGZ) - Ein Haus für alle’ (intergenerational centre – a house for all) in Dülmen, ksg was awarded a commendation. This was a jury decision taken during the jury meeting chaired by Professor Andreas Fritzen on 2 July 2014.

15th May 2014 PARK LINNÉ Cologne: Laying of the foundation stone for 50 additional apartments

The PARK LINNÉ residential quarter is currently under construction on an approx. 5.3-hectare plot at the former Sidol Factory in Cologne. Since construction works were commenced in autumn 2011, 140 city apartments have already been completed. On 9 May, the laying of the foundation stone for another 50 units was celebrated. ksg implements the urban centre comprising nine city villas as well as the COLÓN residential building.
