11th July 2014 First prize in the ‘Stuttgart Rote Wand’ competition

The object of the urban planning competition was a former car park on the old trade fair grounds in Stuttgart-Killesberg, the ‘Rote Wand’ area. ksg (in collaboration with stern landschaften) was awarded one of two first prizes for juxtaposing two typologies, ‘Minimal Houses’ and ‘Cloud Houses’.

27th June 2014 ksg is a prize-winner in the Schinkelplatz competition

In a prominent location in Berlin-Mitte, the project company Europrojekt GmbH purchased the southern part of the development site on Schinkelplatz with a plot size of 2,685 square metres. In January 2014, the restricted competition with 15 invited architectural firms was decided. ksg is one of the prize-winners.

15th May 2014 PARK LINNÉ Cologne: Laying of the foundation stone for 50 additional apartments

The PARK LINNÉ residential quarter is currently under construction on an approx. 5.3-hectare plot at the former Sidol Factory in Cologne. Since construction works were commenced in autumn 2011, 140 city apartments have already been completed. On 9 May, the laying of the foundation stone for another 50 units was celebrated. ksg implements the urban centre comprising nine city villas as well as the COLÓN residential building.

23rd April 2014 ksg completes chemistry lab Aachen

The new ‘Chemiepraktikum’ for the Chemistry Department of RWTH Aachen was officially handed over with the symbolic key delivery on 24 March. ksg implemented the new laboratory areas on behalf of BLB NRW. Since April 1, about 160 students can carry out research and experiments in the new building.

The Pellenz association of municipalities planned the construction of a new town hall in Plaidt. In the restricted competition, the design by kister scheithauer gross in collaboration with Patricia Merkel, LHVH Architekten as well as stern landschaften from Cologne was awarded a commendation.

In the restricted competition for the new Fire and Ambulance Station of the City of Wolfsburg, kister scheithauer gross in collaboration with club L94 from Cologne came fourth. The jury assessed the design as “well-organised and worked out in detail”.

26th March 2014 Topping-out ceremony at Fraunhofer-Zentrum HTL Bayreuth

 

Subsequent to a preceding VOF procedure, ksg was commissioned with the implementation of the new building at the Bayreuth-Wolfsbach location. On a gross floor area of 5,800 m², effective floor areas of 2,600 m² for laboratories, workshops, furnace hall, areas for product development, chemical storage, evaluation rooms, offices and meeting rooms are provided.

After a construction period of 9 months, the topping out ceremony at the Ernst-Moritz-Arndt University (EMAU) in Greifswald was celebrated yesterday. For the BBL, kister scheithauer gross architekten und stadtplaner (ksg) implemented a new laboratory building for the Institutes of Zoology and Botany. Completion of the building is scheduled for March 2015.
